Georgia Medicaid Eligibility Calculator (2026)
Georgia offers adults a conditional route instead of the ACA expansion: Georgia Pathways covers adults 19–64 up to $1,330 a month for one person if they document 80 hours a month of work or similar activity. Children qualify through PeachCare for Kids up to $5,738 for a family of three.

Pathways, year by year
Pathways began July 1, 2023 under a waiver first approved in 2020. CMS granted a temporary extension through 2026 on September 23, 2025, letting parents of children under six with income at or below 100% of the poverty line keep coverage without the work requirement and replacing monthly reporting with annual reporting. In August 2026 Georgia began asking CMS for the 90% expansion match for Pathways.[KFF]
From January 1, 2027 Pathways follows the federal community-engagement rules: earning at least $580 a month counts, parents of a child 13 or younger are exempt, and current members are affected at their 2027 renewal.[state]
| Group | FPL | 1 | 2 | 3 | 4 | 6 |

Parents and children
Outside Pathways, the parent/caretaker group uses a dollar table — $662 a month for three including the disregard — and there is no budget group of one.[state] Babies are covered in Medicaid to 205% of the poverty line, toddlers to 149%, older children to 133%, and PeachCare for Kids carries them to 247%.[state]
After birth
Georgia’s 12-month postpartum extension was approved on October 27, 2022.[KFF] Pregnancy coverage runs to 225% of the poverty line with the disregard, and from January 2027 a woman within her postpartum year is excluded from Pathways’ community-engagement rule.[state][state]
Applying
Use Georgia Gateway or a DFCS office. Pregnancy coverage reaches 220% of the poverty line; older adults have a medically needy spend-down at about 24%.[state][MACPAC]
Worked example
A 34-year-old warehouse temp in Macon with no children earns $1,100 a month. That is 82.7% of the poverty line for 1.
